Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Robert "Bob" Guindon had the distinction of playing in each of the WHA's 7 seasons and taking part in 5 Avco Cup finals. After a 106-point season for Winnipeg in 1975-76, the Jets – along with Guindon - took care of Edmonton, Calgary and Houston in the playoffs to claim their first of three Avco World trophies. This miniature that Guindon received includes his name engraved on a metal plaque on one side while the other features two plaques; one with the names of the champions and another that reads "Presented To The Winnipeg Jets - World Champions 1975-76". The trophy stands just under 13" and features a suspended globe in clear Lucite with an ornate silver cup mounted on top. Robert Guindon's signed LOA will accompany this brilliant World Hockey Association keepsake.
Moderate to heavy tarnishing is present over the affixed plaques, with additional oxidation to the base and slightly-tilted top bowl. Despite these minor condition issues, the trophy displays wonderfully, ready for a prominent spot in your collection.
