Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
A trio of 100-plus year old collectibles, now encapsulated, is offered here, with a couple of T206s leading the way. Hall of Fame catcher Roger Bresnahan is depicted on a card with a Piedmont back and is the "with bat" variation. Slabbed VG 3 by PSA, it is joined by a similar "with bat" card of fellow St. Louis player Vic Willis, the latter card featuring a Polar Bear reverse and graded VG-EX 4. Meanwhile, in an older PSA holder rests a 1915 Cracker Jack card of Boston Braves' spit-ball pitcher Bill James who posted a 26-7 record in his only full big league season, helping Boston to a World Series sweep of the favored Philadelphia Athletics in 1914, going 2-0 in the series. Card #153 received a mark of EX-MT 6.
