Scoring the series-clinching goal in overtime in the first round of the 1974 Stanley Cup playoffs against Atlanta, Dave Shultz is remembered more for his tough play as a premier enforcer, with the single-season NHL record for PIM held by Waldheim native, with 472 penalty minutes in 76 games played during the 1974-75 campaign. Schultz is also a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Flyers. We have a photo-matched Pittsburgh Penguins jersey that was worn by the bruiser in 1978-79, his second of two seasons with the club. Stall & Dean labeling sits affixed to the collar, with a size “52” fly tag placed nearby along with an “8” year tag. Styled with the familiar Pens gold and black tackle twill team crest, the vintage mesh has been accented with two-tone sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with “Schultz” across the original nameplate in single white twill. A double-garter fight strap has also been utilized on the desirable garment, along with a heavy-knit collar and lower waist band. A few marks are visible over the heavy knit front band, with a few faint marks over each sleeve. There are also repairs near each elbow section, with the team crest heavily repaired, mostly bordering the penguin itself. A vintage LOA from MeiGray will accompany, along with a COR.

Finally, Getty Image #642062978 has been matched to the identical marks from both of the aforementioned matches.
