Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Originally selected in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft by the Maple Leafs, netminder Ron Low would only play a single season in Toronto, with later stops in Washington, Edmonton, New Jersey, Quebec and Detroit. We have a Red Wings jersey that was worn by the Manitoba native in 1977-78, his only season with the club. Laundering instructions are affixed to the collar, along with a size “52” fly tag and “8” year tag. Styled with the famous winged wheel team crest full embroidered, the vintage mesh has been accented with “30” over the sleeves and verso in matching material. A knit nameplate has also been utilized, along with a garter style fight strap that has been placed near an Olympic supplier label over the inside hem. With just a few random marks present, the jersey remains in beautiful condition.
We should also note a strong “moth ball” smell to the jersey.
