Upwards of three hundred intriguing vintage collectibles are up for grabs here, with numerous highlights. Bee Hive photos are less plentiful however feature several notables. Two different of both Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull (Group 2) are autographed, as are pics of Henri Richard, Worsley, Bonin and St. Laurent (2 diff.). Scarce (unsigned) photos from Group 1 are Canadiens Heffernan and Morin, Myles (NYR), Runge (Maroons) and Toronto's Hill, with the latter two on replacement backings. Some six dozen Crown Brand photos include the scarce King Clancy issue, Morenz and a dozen desirable Habs and Maroons team photos, with however trimmed backings to the group shots. Some duplication (individual photos) and condition all over the board is also to note. Back damage affects nine exhibit cards, with Harvey (2), Geoffrion, Lach and Richard in action (2) among them. Some 200 Quaker Oats photos are to sift through, with an autographed Jean Beliveau photo, scarce variations of the Rocket and other Canadiens and Leafs sure to equal interesting break-up value or a swell instant collection. Please see our website for more details.
Crown Brand entries also include four group shots of Father Levesque's pee-wee teams, although the mats are either trimmed, unglued or missing, with the same holding true for many of the other Crown Brand contingent, with re-glued pictures also present, some needing to be re-glued and again, some backings trimmed, with however others in nice collectible condition. The (crease-free) King Clancy photo is without its original backing, with however a strip of glue visible along the upper back edge. Condition of the Quaker Oats collection varies, with acceptable/nice collectible condition dominating. To note regarding the autographed Bee Hives is that the scarce Hull (#9) variation features a decent VG-EX backing, with numerous one-inch horizontal indentations to the photo itself, near the middle, while the Howe photo picturing Gordie in a captain's jersey has multiple light creases/bends and is glued to a replacement backing. Things to be aware of, but all-in-all, plenty of possibilities with this hoard of vintage goodies.
