Driving for Jordan Grand Prix, Benetton and Ferrari during his career, Michael Schumacher also drove for Mercedes upon his return to the sport, with 2004 an especially successful season with twelve out of the first thirteen races won along with a record 13th as he won his final title. We have a pair of signed gloves (no race or date codes handwritten) worn by the legendary German driver - according to the accompanying LOA - while winning the 2003 Canadian GP in the Ferrari F2003-GA, along with a pair of race-worn shoes from the mid-to-late-1990s. There is also a tear-away visor that has been signed by Shumacher along with Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso. The aforementioned LOA will accompany for the gloves.
The gloves are in solid Ferrari red with embroidered sponsorship patches from Vodafone, Shell, Marlboro and OMP, with nice use exhibited including wear to each palm. Schumacher has signed each over the palm section in black marker, and they display well. The shoes are Nike models with swoosh logos over each side, the underside and the toes, with labels over each tongue section of “ISO 6940 Complies with FIA 1986 Standards”. Facsimile signatures grace each, with light but definite use on the footwear, with the rubber molding on the left show worn and loose. The tearaway visor is 15 ½” in length with wear, with each signing in black marker, with no issues for the signatures. A small 18 ½” x 11” x 2” display case with hinged lid is also included.
