Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Selected by the Washington Capitals 40th overall at the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, winger John Druce appeared for four different NHL clubs during his career including Washington, Winnipeg, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. We have a Kings jersey that was worn by the Peterborough native in 1993-94, his first of three seasons in California. A CCM label and size “54” fly tag sit affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with an attractive Kings team crest with embroidered detailing, the solid white V-neck has been accented with silver, black and white layered tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Druce” across the nameplate in single black twill. Game wear includes a few marks over the front and sleeves, with a few small holes/slits over and near the right elbow, with three team repairs on the lower right sleeve. There is also pilling in numerous spots including beneath the team crest, over the elbows and cuffs and beneath the fight strap. The team patch initialed by equipment manager Peter Millar sits on the inside hem, and it denotes the garment as a “Set 2” example. An LOA will accompany.
