Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
An institution in the province and feverishly collected, the Quebec Nordiques were the only professional sports team the city was able to support in the modern era, with the club existing in the WHA from 1972 to 1979 and then in the NHL from 1979 to 1995, when they relocated to Colorado. We have an attractive Quebec Nordiques 14K gold and diamond ring with an undisclosed history, made by a fan professionally. Size 10 ½ with an approx. weight of 26 grams, a diamond-encrusted Nords logo sits embedded within the tableau over a bed of rippled gold, with a large diamond inserted along the base. The top of the inner band is hollow on the uniquely-shaped keepsake, with “14K” stamped onto the band along with “CS”.
Exhibiting heavy use, the ring has considerable wear, with numerous scratches and nicks to the outer band, sides and edges. A few small nicks and grooves are also present, with the ring still displaying wonderfully.
