Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Celebrating the highly collected and sadly missed Montreal Expos, we have a wonderful group of items, including a few first-season specimens. A first-season 1969 Expos yearbook is present, along with first and last season schedules. Also included, we have single-signed game-used baseballs from Andre Dawson and Jeff Reardon, an Andre Dawson-signed All-Star Game bag, a 1982 All-Star Game (in Montreal) program, an Orange Crush bottle container/carton featuring Rusty Staub, 12 1980s Expos pinbacks (two varieties) and more!
The 1969 yearbook and 1982 program are both complete and exhibit moderate handling wear and toning, with no damage whatsoever. The first and last year schedules also show just light handling wear, while the Rusty Staub Orange Crush carton is complete with some creasing and staining, with light wear to the graphics. The Andre Dawson Signed 1991 All-Star Game Bag has black with blue trim with the All-Star logos screened on the sides and ends, and has been nicely signed on both sides in clear red marker by Dawson, with the signatures blending into the material somewhat. Next, both signed balls are Rawlings Official NL Feeney examples, with heavy toning and attractive blue ink signatures. The Expos buttons are all NOS and remain in wonderful condition. Also included, we have a small seldom-seen Expos transistor radio from the 1980s with advertising from Coke, along with three vintage 1960s Monarch hockey pucks in their original blue boxes, with each exhibiting just light wear.
