Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The Hall of Fame careers of Eric Lindros and Peter Forsberg intersected before either played their first NHL game. Forsberg, who was drafted sixth overall by Philadelphia in 1991, was the key player in the blockbuster package the Flyers put together to obtain Lindros from the Quebec Nordiques, who were unable to sign the powerful center after they made him the first overall pick in the 1991 NHL draft. This fantastic lot consists of Lindros and Forsberg signed game-used sticks.
“E Lindros” is factory stamped on the shaft of Eric’s Bauer Supreme 3030 wood gamer, a model he used with the Flyers in the mid-1990s, which has his original tape jobs on the knob and blade, and a “051221 05” code stamped on the back of the shaft. Lindros, who was inducted into the HOF in 2016, placed a black marker autograph across the front of his white tape job on the blade, which has nice wear along the bottom edge.
Forsberg’s No. “21” is handwritten in black marker below his black tape job on the knob of his signed Easton Synergy composite game-used stick with “Forsberg” factory printed on the shaft. Forsberg, who won the Stanley Cup twice with the Colorado Avalanche and was inducted into the HOF in 2014, place a big bold silver paint pen autograph across the front of the stick’s bare blade. Forsberg’s signed game-used stick comes with an LOA.
