The all-time leader at the World Junior Championships where he scored 31 points in just seven games, Peter Forsberg spent the majority of his HOF NHL career with Colorado, winning a pair of Cups in Denver in 1996 and 2001. This Avalanche alternate captain’s jersey was worn by Forsberg during the 1999 Stanley Cup playoffs. Starter Center Ice labeling with handwritten “VIII” along with a swatch of “58R-8-21” sit along the collar, with embroidered Starter and NHL logos over the back bottom hem. Featuring a large and partially embroidered Avs team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with textured tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. A Team COA, MeiGray COR and additional LOA will accompany.
We should also note that the sweater sport’s the “CHS” Columbine High School memorial crest over the upper left sleeve for the victims of the 1999 shooting. Game-wear includes marks over the sleeves and team crest, with a few faint burns over the left elbow.
