Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018

To heck with chronological order, we'll start with Sandy, Jackie and Roy! A 1955 Sandy Koufax Topps rookie card has centering issues and is but G with top-to-bottom creasing (not affecting the legend's headshot), along with diagonal creases through the Dodgers logo, while Jackie Robinson's card #50 from the same year is crease-free but low grade due to three areas of tape staining. Roy Campanella's smiling image on his '53 Topps card prompts a smile, with card #27 better and graded EX 5 by KSA. A rather light top-to-bottom crease, along with toning in the upper region on the reverse, affects the 1910 Standard Caramel card of Nap Lajoie, with multiple creases sending the 1934 World Wide Gum card of Jimmy Foxx to G. Completing the group is a 1975 Topps RC of George Brett, slabbed EX 5 by KSA, with however color loss at three of the corners dropping it lower in most people's books and a PSA NM 7 Eddie Collins 1948 Baseball's Great Hall of Fame Exhibit card.
