Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A standout in the NHL during his tenure and arguably one of the best American-born goal scorers the game has ever witnessed, Pat LaFontaine spent 15 successful seasons in the world’s fastest league, with his time evenly split between the Islanders and Sabres. We have a signed stick used by the HOFer during the mid-to-late-1980s. A KOHO model produced in Canada, “LaFontaine” appears stamped-on, with his “16” handwritten over the upper shaft. Retaining its original black tape over the blade and off-white gauze-style over the knob (currently loose), the stick exhibits light use, with both striping accents intact on the lumber. LaFontaine has augmented the stick with a perfect thin blue marker signature over the upper shaft.
