Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018

A product of both London and Kitchener in the OHL, Shayne Stevenson was selected by Boston in the first round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft, seeing limited action with the Beantowners in 1990-91 and 1991-92 before heading to Tampa Bay. We have a Bruins jersey from the Aurora native’s first season in Boston in 1990-91, where he wore #49 and appeared in 14 games. Recycled from a previous set, a Maska Air-Knit label graces the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the famous spoked-B Bruins team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the white V-neck has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. A Custom Crafted patch has also been covered over the reverse hem, with the nameplate partially detached along the base. Absolutely hammered, a plethora of dark marks litter the front, sleeves and team crest, with burns with resulting holes over each sleeve. There is also heavy red paint transfer over the left sleeve and seam, with the jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 54. Originating from the collection of longtime Flyers training staff member Jim “Turk” Evers, a signed COA from Evers will accompany that states that this garment was originally given by the Boston Bruins training staff.
