Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A member of the prestigious Triple Gold Club, Eric Staal has won a Stanley Cup along with gold medals at both the 2007 World Championships and 2010 Winter Olympics. We have a Team Canada jersey worn by Staal during the Feb 23rd match vs Germany at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. A label from the IIHF along with “62” sizing sits along the collar, with an Olympic/Canada crest on the back bottom hem. Styled with an intricate maple leaf team crest created by artist Debra Sparrow, the solid red V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the Vancouver 2010 patch over the left sleeve. An inverted Nike barcode numbered 61710 has also been heat-pressed to the inside hem. A COA from the NHLPA will accompany.
With just a few marks over each sleeve, the important international Olympic jersey remains in wonderful condition. The qualification playoff match, Canada defeated the Germans 8-2, meeting Russia next in the Quarterfinals.
