Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Extremely popular among collectors of vintage hockey memorabilia, these small pinback buttons are commonly known as Pep cereals pins even though there is no confirmation that they were indeed a premium from the Kellogg's company. Featured here is one of Hall of Famer Montreal Canadiens goalie Bill Durnan, which displays a well-defined and bold image of Durnan . It is very nicely preserved, as is an included Bob Fillion pin, with a lighter image than the Durnan pin. At roughly 7/8” in diameter, the pins are both fully intact, with a nice white background on the Durnan pin. The Fillion pin has a bit of a cream tone with a light scratch through the right side.
