Featuring Canada’s first Major League Baseball club, we have a large collection of signed and multi-signed Montreal Expos baseballs including game-used examples totaling 33, along with a signed softball and 23 signed Expos postcards. Included, we have single-signed balls from Moises Alou (3), Pedro Martinez, Gary Carter (with long dedication) and Dustin Hermanson, along with a ball multi-signed by 3 with Dustin Hermanson, one multi-signed by 4 with Moises Alou, one multi-signed by 3 with John Wetteland, one multi-signed by 7 with Mike Lansing, Shane Andrews and Youppi, one multi-signed by 5 with Mike Lansing, John Wetteland and Moises Alou and a ball signed by 2 including John Wetteland. There are also two ball with facsimile team signatures, a team-signed ball with 19 signing including Felipe Alou, Jeff Fassero, Mel Rojas, Mike Lansing, Brian Barnes, Jeff Shaw and others, a multi-signed ball by 10 including Pedro Martinez, Jeff Fassero and others along with an additional 8 other signed baseballs and the single mentioned softball with unknown signature. The remaining 8 baseballs are all game-used examples, with many having notations such as “LA”. The majority of the balls in the collection are Official National League examples, along with a few additional leagues and souvenir balls mixed in. The inks also vary, with ballpoint the majority choice. As one would imagine, condition also varies greatly throughout the lot, with heavier wear to the game-used examples, with the Carter ball appearing to have been game-used with moderate wear present. Lastly, the signed postcards total 23, with each signed across the front, including Carter, Arseneault, Lansing (2), Widger, Rodriguez, Kline, Andrews, McGuire, Santangelo, Johnson, Fullmer (2 different), Chavez, Thurman, Pavano, Hermanson, Chantelios, Price, Piche, Cannon, Van Horne and the Expos mascot, Youppi.
