Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Another in the line of desirable Habs sweaters offered in this auction, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by Michael Bournival in 2013-14. Size "56" tagging appears along the collar with handwritten “2”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, the red V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Bournival” across the nameplate in single white twill. Game-wear includes board burns with resulting holes over each sleeve, with a large example just above the right cuff. The team patch numbered “A03429” sits on the inside hem, while a hologram affixed to the reverse number “9” matches the accompanying LOA from the Canadiens.
