Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The last surviving member of the Canadiens' 1944 Stanley Cup championship team before he sadly passed in 2015, Bob Fillion would spend 7 seasons in Montreal, finishing his career with a single season in the QSHL in 1950-51. This silver-plated pitcher was awarded to Fillion as a member of the NHL Champion Montreal Canadiens in 1946-47. “Club De Hockey Canadien” is engraved on the front of the pitcher below the figural spout of a bearded man along with “Champions NHL 1946-1947” and “Robert Fillion”. “S.P. Cooper” and “Sheffield Reproduction” for pattern/model are stamped on the underside of this 8” highly decorated piece. The brim of the pitcher measures 4” in diameter, with just very light wear and oxidation present for the pitcher overall. An LOA will accompany.
