Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
One of the original 12 inductees when the Hockey Hall of Fame enshrined their first class in 1945, Eddie Gerard excelled at both hockey and football, playing halfback with the Ottawa Rough Riders while playing for the city’s New Edinburghs hockey club. 10 seasons with the Senators would follow, with 3 Stanley Cups won, along with a fourth Cup win with Toronto. With the superstar’s passing in 1937, any and all autographs are extremely scarce, with a wonderful example offered that has been encapsulated as “Authentic” by PSA/DNA. At 4 ½” x 6”, the beige autograph booklet page has been signed in pencil with a wonderful large signature, with no fading or loss taking place. We should also note a second autograph on the reverse, with a Joe Lamb pencil signature dated “Febry 4/28”.
