Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

Acquiring North American seasoning at Michigan Tech, Jarkko Ruutu saw action in parts of over 10 NHL seasons before closing out his career with Jokerit in the Finnish Elite League. This Pittsburgh Penguins away jersey was worn by the Vantaa native during the 1st to 3rd rounds of the 2007-08 Stanley Cup playoffs, and it’s been photo-matched. Size tagging is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the Pens team crest that saw use from 2002-2016, the solid white V-neck has been accented with textured tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the Pittsburgh 250th anniversary crest over the right sleeve. The team patch sits on the inside hem below the Dana Heinz (equipment manager) signed fight strap, with an LOA from the Penguins organization to accompany. Game-wear includes a few marks and board burns, with a hole over the left cuff just below the elbow. Getty Image #80703243 from April 16th 2008 (NHL conference quarter-final series) has been matched to the pair of black marks on the lower front of the jersey.
