Black marks galore and loads of board burns and unrepaired burn holes adorn Peter Nedved’s awesome photo-matched 1995-96 Penguins game-worn playoffs third jersey. Nedved had a 99-point season, including a career-high 45 goals, and he added 10 goals and 20 points in 18 playoff games as Pittsburgh made a three-round run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The jersey is photo-matched to a Pacific hockey card by a number of the black marks on the lower portion of the team crest. NHL Center Ice tagging and a size 54 flag tag sit in the back of the neck of this third jersey, which was introduced midway through the 1995-96 season and saw the Penguins win their first 11 games wearing them. Comes with an LOA.
The Penguins went 6-0 during the regular season with these new third jerseys so they kept riding their luck into the playoffs. They stretched their winning streak while wearing the third jersey to 11-0 before losing Game 3 of the conference final against Florida. Overall, Pittsburgh went 12-2 while wearing this set of alternates in the 1995-96 regular season and playoffs.
