Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
One of hockey’s all-time greats who would have even loftier NHL career statistics had he not spent three seasons in the KHL and another half-season in his native Czechoslovakia stars here, with images of a young Jaromir Jagr plunging hobbyists back into the card boom days. The most weight is in (13) 1990-91 O-Pee-Chee Premier rookie cards, some looking like they might indeed grade MINT, while (55) Upper Deck (English) RCs also add up to some interesting book value. The OPC Premier rookies “book” at $20 apiece these days, with the Upper Deck issue at $5. There are then (54) ’90-91 Score (American) rookies and (240!) Score Canadian, or bilingual, versions. An additional bilingual version features a now partially faded autograph and was incorporated into a little plaque. Thirteen Pro Set rookies (#632A) complete the rookie card lineup. The remainder are throw-ins and are mostly three different issues from ’91-92 Upper Deck, with 30 others also from early in Jaromir’s prolific and memorable career. A career that included 765 goals, over 1900 points and five NHL scoring titles!
