Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Constructed for 1.5 million in just over five months during the onset of The Great Depression, Maple Leaf Gardens will forever be remembered - along with the Montreal Forum, as one of hockey’s most important shrines. We have a collection of MLG memorabilia, with a single stock-share from 1990 as well as a pair of dividend cheques from the same year, along with the 1990 Annual Report and accompanying material, including a pair of report inserts, a mailing envelope and a Richardson Greenshields receipt. The 8” x 12” stock certificate lists Paul Besterd as the owner of a single share, signed by the Transfer Officer, with a serial number of “TB10995”. Three vertical fold lines are present along with a few staple holes, with some minor toning taking place. The dividend cheques are both made out to Besterd for the amount of .10 cents each, with toning the main issue. The 8 ½” x 11” MLG Annual Report also suffers from just light wear and toning, along with the other aforementioned items within the collection.
