Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Forever known as The Rocket, a number of items have been produced over the years featuring Maurice Richard, and we have 5 examples here for your collecting consideration. Included is a highly desirable pin with ribbon hailing from Maurice Richard night on Feb 17th 1951, followed by a 1960s Richard “626” radio produced by prominent maker Marconi. This is followed by a French copy of the 1950s paperback book “Maurice Richard” by Ed Fitkin, along with a pair of 1962-63 Wheaties “Playing Better Hockey with les Canadiens” Richard booklets, with examples in both French and English.
The ribbon exhibits light wear with toning along with a few wrinkles, with the pin in wonderful condition, with just some minor wear to the reverse. The Marconi radio comes with it’s original box (rough condition with torn and taped corners), and it remains in very good condition with just honest wear including some minor scratches, with the original point-of-sale price tag of $29.95 still attached. The Fitkin book is in very good condition, with just some minor wear including creases to the back cover of the English language Wheaties book.
