Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

Some good bang for your buck here, with this instant Wayne Gretzky collection, led by a well-centered 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee rookie card and a much scarcer '79 Sportcaster card. The RC is in crease-free EX condition with visible corner/edge wear, while the Sportcaster (4-3/4" x 6-1/4") is NM. Pleasing good centering and NM or better best describes a run of Wayne's "regular" OPC cards from the '80s, with the '81-82 graded NM-MT 8 by AGA. An '82-83 rack pack, with Gretzky showing, is an infrequent/inviting sighting, with two (of the same) Gartlan porcelain card-size affairs also neat. Three "police set" junior-related cards also don't turn up every day, while completing the formidable booty and representing interesting break-up value are two dozen insert and parallel cards from the '90s; Electric Ice, Artist Proof, gold, die-cut, Team Pinnacle, etc. are among them. A quick tally gives a book value sum of over $600 for the shiny stuff alone - nice.
To note is the cracked (front and back) holder of the slabbed card, with "AGA" standing for American Grading Authority.
