Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Arguably the best Danish player professional hockey has ever seen, Lars Eller was selected 13th overall at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, with the bulk of his NHL time thus far spent in Montreal. This Canadiens jersey was worn by the World Junior gold medal winner in 2013-14. Size tagging appears along the collar with handwritten “2”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Eller” across the nameplate in single blue twill. Game-wear includes marks over the lower front and the left sleeve, with some paint transfer along with small slits resulting from board burns over and around the left elbow. The team patch numbered “A03347” sits on the inside hem, while a hologram affixed to the reverse number “1” matches the accompanying LOA from the Canadiens.
