Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Currently with the Buffalo Sabres, Benoit Pouliot has previously spent a pair of seasons in Montreal with the Habs, including in 2009-10, the season this jersey was worn by the Alfred native. Size tagging appears along the collar including handwritten “2”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Pouliot” across the nameplate in single blue twill along with the Canadiens centennial crest over the right shoulder. Game-wear includes a few marks over the left sleeve, along with a large stick mark on the reverse to the left of the numbers. The team patch numbered “A01871” sits on the inside hem, while a hologram affixed to the reverse “7” matches the accompanying LOA from the Canadiens.
