Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
A couple of forwards are featured in this lot, with Garth Murray’s 2007-08 Montreal Canadiens game-worn away jersey and Jimmy Bonneau’s 2007-08 Montreal Canadiens game-issued home jersey. Size tagging appears along the collar of each, with “1” handwritten, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred “CH” team crest with embroidered detailing, the V-necks sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers (with holograms affixed), with each player’s name across the nameplate in single twill. Issued but never worn, the “Home Set 1” Bonneau jersey remains in wonderful condition, while the “Away Set 1” Murray jersey exhibits a few random marks with fabric pulls over the front and right sleeve. Both garments have numbered team patches affixed to the inside hems including “A01145” on the Bonneau jersey and “A01191” on the Murray example, with matching LOAs from the Canadiens to accompany each.
