Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The legendary hero of Canada during the forever-memorable 1972 Summit Series, Paul Henderson received The Order of Canada in 2012, with his famous goal dubbed the “sports moment of the century” by The Canadian Press. We have a signed stick used by the Ontario native during his time in the WHA with Toronto in the mid-1970s. A CCM Custom Pro model, “Henderson” appears on the upper shaft (partially covered), with the original black tape over the blade and white “spiral” pattern over the handle. Henderson has signed on the upper shaft in ballpoint adding, “To Rick Best Wishes”, and the signature displays well. Just light game-use is exhibited on the desirable lumber, with marks visible on the lower shaft and over the heel section. Hailing from the collection of Rick “The Stick” Elaschuk, this stick would fit well in any Summit Series collection. Comes with an LOA.
