Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
With his place permanently entrenched in the rich lexicon of hockey due to the historic 10-point night, Darryl Sittler spent a dozen seasons with Toronto before tenures with both Philadelphia and Detroit in the twilight of his career. We have a signed Maple Leafs jersey worn by the St Jacobs native in a 1990s “oldtimers” game. Maska Ultrafil tagging along with a Center Ice label sit affixed to the collar, with NHL and CCM crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the familiar Leafs team crest, the solid blue V-neck has been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Sittler has signed the reverse “7” in blue sharpie adding “HHOF 1989”, and the signature has bled somewhat. With no visible marks or wear, the jersey remains in wonderful condition. An LOA will accompany.
