Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

High on the want list of Original Six collectors, pucks with rubberized team logos began appearing in 1958, with the examples manufactured by CCM and later Converse the most highly prized. We have a wonderful example featuring the Montreal Canadiens from the 1967-68 era, and adding great desirability, it’s been signed by one of the Original Six era’s greatest, Jean Beliveau. Featuring clean and bold rubberized logos that exhibit just light toning, the expansion era puck has been signed by the deceased HOFer vertically across the Habs logo in ballpoint, and the signature displays well. With just a bit of surface wear on each side, the puck also has a few small slices and gouges along the sides, but these minor imperfections do little to detract from the gorgeous display quality.
