This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Featuring HOF Builder Norman Poile, we have a collection of 3 documents from his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the mid-1940s. Poile had a very successful coaching career in the WHL after his playing days, and he was the GM for Philadelphia during the club’s inaugural season, helping acquire stars Bobby Clarke and Bernie Parent. Included, we have Poile’s Leafs contract from 1946-47, signed by Poile and Hap Day, along with his 1941 contract agreement, with Poile signing along with Conn Smythe. The final document is a file copy of an AHL assignment agreement from early in 1942. All three document exhibit just expected handling wear, with each signature bold and flawless.
