Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Three big reasons for the Habs noteworthy defensive prowess throughout the 1970s and early-1980s, Serge Savard, Guy Lapointe and Larry Robinson were instrumental in Montreal acquiring their Stanley Cup dynasty, as well as establishing the Canadiens legendary reputation of being rock solid along the blue line. We have a desirable Forum seat, signed by the three Habs legends. In Forum blue, the seat with “19” stenciled along the seat back features an affixed “Big Three” decal on the left side along with a Habs logo on the right, with all three signing in a vertical row beneath the stenciled number in black marker. Mounted to a pair of metal legs and free standing at 36”, additional Habs logos appear on each side of the seat frame, along with the opening and closing dates of hockey’s most storied venue. An LOA will accompany.
With these seats limited to only 20 examples, all three signatures remain dark and bold, while the seat itself remains in gorgeous condition, with just expected wear to the seat cushion and backing.
