Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

The third-such game organized to benefit the family of a lost NHL star, the Babe Siebert memorial game was played on Oct 29th in 1939, with a team of NHL all-stars taking on Siebert’s Canadiens at the Montreal Forum. We have a highly desirable program from the famous event, and amazingly, it’s been signed by the complete line-up of NHL all-stars! At 9”x 12”, the 48 pg program features a full-colour image of Siebert on the cover, with the line-up pages signed by 17 in pencil, with each signing next to their respective name including deceased HOFers Brimsek, Shore, Clapper, Drillon, Apps, Coulter, Jackson and others, along with Bruins legend Art Ross also scripting an attractive signature just below a cameo image.
Others who have signed this rare benefit program include Colville, Siebert, Gottselig, Bauer, Jackson, Anderson, Goodfellow (twice), Howe and one other. The pencil signatures all present well, with no fading, while the program suffers from some toning, scuffing and creasing, with the cover split along the spine, but still attached at the staples. A few pages also sport dog eared corners, with some additional toning and wear to the interior.
