Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
An interesting little group of memorabilia is up for grabs in this lot, with a few desirable items including photos signed by Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau and Gordie Howe, along with a program from the 1966 Stanley Cup Finals. There is also a Summit Series home program, a modern SS watch and a set of Team Canada 5” x 7” reproduction photos totaling 39. The signed black and white photos are 8” x 10” and number 2, with a lone Maurice Richard example along with an image featuring both Beliveau and Howe that has been dual-signed. Both photos feature wonderful dark signatures, with JSA certification for the Beliveau/Howe photo, and PSA/DNA for the Richard. The 1966 Stanley Cup finals program hails from game 4 on May 1, 1966, when the Habs squeaked out a 2-1 win in front of the Detroit faithful. Measuring 8 ½” x 11”, this program, from the series that saw the Red Wings jump into a two-game lead before the Canadiens stormed back to win the next four, is in overall nice condition, with ink jottings on the lineup page, a couple of pages with small edge tears, and some slight dirt and a bit of creasing on the edge of the front cover. There is also clear tape that has been affixed to the inside front cover. The Summit Series home program is roughly 8 ¾” x 11 ¾”, and it remains in good condition with expected handling wear along with some toning and a cover stamp. Next, the Team Canada repro photos feature dual-images on each, with an added colour image of Vladislav Tretiak. Lastly, the Summit Series watch features a 1 ½” dial, with interesting Summit Series graphics, with just light wear present.
