Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
An incredibly desirable group of lumber, we have a great collection of 6 game-used sticks all hailing from gentleman who breached the lofty 1000 career-point total. Examples are present from Adam Oates, Sergei Fedorov, Peter Stastny, Alexander Mogilny, Pat LaFontaine and Doug Gilmour. We have Sher-Wood, Louisville, Hespeler, Easton, Christian and Victoriaville examples, with each stick having the users name either stamped or in factory graphics. Each stick also features its original tape on the blades and handles/knobs, with the Oates and Lafontaine sticks signed across the heel section, Fedorov across the blade and Gilmour on the shaft. An instant collection, each of these sticks is a prize in its own right, with this lot representing some of modern hockey’s greatest goal scorers.
As mentioned, each offered stick retains its original tape, with just the Oates stick appearing to be cracked beneath the blade tape. The Oates, Stastny and Gilmour sticks also sport handwritten numbers on the taped handles. Great use is also exhibited on each stick, with the Gilmour example seeing fairly heavy use.
