This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Worn while inflicting considerable damage to the egos of many netminders throughout the mid-1990s, we have a pair of skates worn by the incomparable Mario Lemieux. CCM Tacks 652 models with screened-on and rubberized identifiers, each feature “66” handwritten along the underside, with “11 ½ N” stamped inside the back of each heel. Utilizing ICM Super Steel blades, foam has been added along the back interior heel section of the left skate. This type of model skate was used by Mario in 1995-96 and 1996-97, seasons that witnessed 100 plus points along with Hart, Art Ross and Lester B Pearson Trophies (1996). Each skate exhibits nice use with marks visible, with additional wear to the toe sections, with some cuts to the fabric.
