Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The 13th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Zach Kassian formerly spent 5 seasons in the OHL, including the first three with the Peterborough Petes. This Petes jersey was game-worn by Kassian in 2009-10. With Reebok and CCM size tagging in collar, there are also CHL and OHL patches over the bottom hem and right breast respectively. Styled with tackle twill team name, numbers and name-on-nameplate, the jersey also sports “manufacturing” Petes crests over both shoulders. Game-use includes dark marks on the lower front and around the right breast area, along with board burns on the left sleeve. There are also 3 team repairs present, with 1 on the upper left sleeve and a pair on the upper right. We should also note that the garment has had the captain’s “C” removed, and another nameplate (Quesnele) was sewn over the Kassian nameplate for a later pre-season, but the Kassian nameplate was never removed.
