Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016

Numerous fans rank Yvan Cournoyer at the top, or mighty close to it, of their all-time favorite players list, the Roadrunner’s speed, scoring ability and Herculean play in the corners often breathtaking. Yvan’s Sher-Wood Pattern Pro stick is from his heyday in the early-1970s and features a nearly straight blade that enabled him at times to let go some righthanded shots. Black bulldog tape covers the blade and forms the thin knob on the planed-down handle. With “12 Cournoyer” stamped on the shaft, it shows good game use and is solid without any cracks. Wielded by a dynamo whose heart was as big as they come!
