Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
A current member of the Dallas Stars, Jason Spezza was selected 2nd overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. This lot contains a pair of Spezza game-used sticks along with a pair of Senators game-used pants. For the sticks, we have a Sher-Wood model along with an Easton example, with both sticks featuring “Speeza” in factory graphics on the upper shafts. Both sticks retain the original tape jobs on the shafts and blades, and both show great game-use, with wear to the blades and puck marks present. The Sher-Wood model has been signed by Jason on the blade near the heel, and the signature is flawless. We should also note that the signed stick was used by Speeza in the final home game of the 2007-08 season. The pants accompanying the sticks are made by Reebok, with red and white striping along with a Senators logo on the left leg. They show good game-use with considerable wear present. According to our consignor, only one other member of the Senators wore this model of pants, so they could have been potentially worn by either. An LOA for the signed Sher-Wood stick will come with this lot.
