Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Homage is properly paid to the first Olympic gold medalists in this gorgeous 1920 Winnipeg Falcons Team Canada replica jersey worn by Jarome Iginla in the World Cup of Hockey tournament in 2004 in Montreal. This jersey was worn specifically against team USA on August 31, as mentioned on the Hockey Canada LOA signed by Bob Nicholson that accompanies. Not much notable game wear to mention, with just a few scant stick marks visible. Matching Winnipeg Falcons patches adorn both shoulders, and the fight strap is still securely in place. A size 56 Nike tag appears in the usual collar spot, with an additional Nike inventory bar heat-sealed in the lower hem. A visually pleasing game-worn jersey, this beauty screams gold gold gold!
