Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Sir Paul McCartney has signed in bold black marker on the cover of the Beatles compilation "1", which was released on November 13, 2000 and featuring number-one singles from basically the life of the group -'62 to '70. And so important are two enclosed documents – one from two WASH-FM radio personalities who witnessed Sir Paul sign this album in the basement of the MCI Center in Washington, DC prior to his concert on April 23, 2002 (which is also notarized), and the other from noted Beatles autograph expert Frank Caiazzo, who has guaranteed and signed his letter. The album, fully signed as "All the best, Paul McCartney" is displayed in a large black and matted frame measuring 24" x 30" and includes a picture of the Fab Four circa-1967, along with two different Yellow Submarine pins and a Beatles name plaque. A sensational display piece, with Paul's large signature measuring a magnificent 6 inches from start to finish. Also included is a copy of the original bill of sale.
