Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Linebacker Delmar Chesley, Alfred Oglesby and an unknown Wilson, wore these Detroit Lions jerseys in pre-season in the early-1990s. Chesley’s white pre-season gamer has rubberized numbers on front and back, with nice tackle twill lettering on the nameplate that shows evidence of a former nameplate. Sewn on the hem is a patch reading as “Medalist Sand-Knit, Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Detroit Lions”. Speckles of red are noticeable on the shoulders of this gamer. The white “Wilson” pre-season gamer is similar in style to Chesley’s, only with a “Wilson” patch sewn on the hem with a size “50” tag and a “2 inch X-Length” flap alongside. Marks are noticeable on both sides of this jersey. Oglesby’s blue Lions pre-season gamer has marks on the tackle twill lettering, some paint-flaking on the back numbers, some marks on the shoulder, and a nice team-repair on the back of the jersey. The embroidered “NFL 75” patch is sewn on the front left breast, with a small embroidered “NFL” patch sewn on the front collar.
