This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
In celebration of the NFL's 75th anniversary, all teams wore throwback uniforms during some point of the 1994 season and the Green Bay Packers were no exception, wearing throwbacks modeled on the classic 1937 Lambeau-era uniforms at least four times during the season. There were two versions of this uniform: a navy home uniform, and a white road uniform, with wide receiver Sterling Sharpe being given this blue game-issued jersey at this time. A sewn-on patch on the hem reads as “Starter, Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Green Bay Packers”, with a size “48” flap attached. The embroidered “NFL 75th” anniversary patch is sewn on the left breast, with numbers and nameplate being single tackle twill. A couple of marks are noticeable on the front number “4” but not caused from game-use. Sharpe, an All-Pro multiple times in his career, saw his livelihood cut short near of the end of this ‘94 campaign after suffering a serious neck injury.
