Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
A couple of Team Canada 2010 Olympic souvenir jerseys for the offering, from the two Canadian netminders who were part of the dramatic march to the gold medal in Vancouver. Roberto Luongo has signed his back number “1” with black marker, and the jersey, tagged in the collar as a “Nike” (size) 54, is preserved almost perfectly, with just one small mark at the top of the number “1” to note. Martin Brodeur has signed the front “Maple Leaf” logo in black marker, althought his signature is less than bold and slightly difficult to read because of the background design on the leaf. This jersey is tagged in the collar as a “Nike (size) XXL” and shows a black mark between his number “30” on the back. Both jerseys have the “Vancouver 2010” patch sewn on the left sleeves, a “Maple Leaf/Olympic rings” sewn on the hem, and both still have the Hockey Canada “Licensed Product” tags attached on the sleeves. Great jerseys, and tremendous reminders of an important time in Canadian hockey history.
