Roots honored Team Canada with beautiful jackets such as a wool and leather red and white dandy from 1990 with the wool and embroidered “Roots” crest sewn on the left breast, “Hockey Canada” embroidered letters on the right, plus a wool “90” on the left sleeve and the Canadian flag on the right in wool with an embroidered Canadian flag. Spread across the back are the wool “Canada” letters, with crossed sticks and puck below. This jacket is almost immaculate and includes a dry-cleaning tag, and “Bill” has been handwriiten on the inside washing instructions along with size “L”. We also have a similar red and white Roots jacket from 1991, with the same “Roots” crest and “Canada” spelled out on the back, but the jacket also has the Team Canada crest on the right breast, Canadian flags and crossed sticks on the right sleeve, and a wool and embroidered “Finland” patch below “91” on the left sleeve. A washing instructions tag is on the inside seam, next to a size “XL” flap. The third jacket, also from Roots, is from the 1991 Canada Cup, with the large and round screened-on Canada Cup logo encircled by the names of the nine cities where the tourney took place. The front of the jacket, which is 90% cotton and 10% polyester, features the “Roots Athletic s Canada” logo on the right breast, with the Canada Cup logo, which has had some color bleeding, sewn on the right breast. This jacket is tagged in the collar as a size “L”, and aside from the one crest bleeding, is in very nice condition with just some inside pilling to also mention.
