Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
A couple of Chicago Black Hawks practice-worn jerseys from 2 very fine players, and a pair of Hawks socks attributed to Hawks HOF goaltender Eddie Belfour on tap here, with all-star defenceman Doug Wilson’s red practice-worn jersey with the rubberized Hawks logo on the front, his number “24” on the back, and iconic Chicago sporting goods company “Gunzo’s” screened on the hem. This jersey has a multitude of marks scattered about the front, back, and on both sleeves, with a team repair on the front, another on the left sleeve, and 2 more on the right sleeve. A handwritten “86” in black marker is on the inside of the hem. Dirk Graham’s black practice jersey also features the rubberized crest and his number “33”, with marks and board burns scattered about, plus a team repair on the front, 1 on the left sleeve, and at least 6 more on the right sleeve. Rounding out the lot are a pair of red Hawks socks attributed to Eddie Belfour (HOF-inducted 2011), although we can’t say with absolute certainty that they were worn by the great goalie. His number “30” is handwritten in black marker on the bottom of each, and substantial marks are on both, midway up, from what we think are from pad straps. All 3 items were originally obtained from the Hawks organization.
