Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Brad Richards' 2007-08 Tampa Bay gamer is most likely the last black home jersey the 2004 Conn Smythe winner wore with the Lightning. Tampa Bay began using its third set of black jerseys around the end of January/very early February and wore them through the end of the regular season. Brad was traded to Dallas on February 26 and a tiny mark on the left cuff is the best of very little wear to report on this gamer. His #19 appears in black marker on the size 56 flag tag in the neck, and the 2007-2008 Set #3 team patch is sewn inside the rear tail. The outline of a bigger previous alternate captain's A remains around the current white, blue and silver twill letter sewn on the left breast. The 2007-08 season marked the debut of the new Reebok Edge jerseys throughout the NHL. Tampa Bay's first set of jerseys was only used for a short time because the material caused problems. The Lightning reduced the side of the captain's and alternate captains' sewn-on letters, removing the bigger ones and replacing them with smaller letters, as is the case with this Richards alternate capain's game-worn jersey.
