Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

The swansong for the California Golden Seals came in 1975 and 1976 before the team packed up and moved to the other side of the country to become the Cleveland Barons. It was during period that either Wayne King or Brent Meeke packed and unpacked his equipment in this gold-coloured canvas Seals equipment bag with the teal “California Seals 24” screened on. Numerous bullet-style team repairs fix holes that were once along the bottom, while the carrying straps are still intact and the zipper at the top is still functional. A larger unrepaired tear runs through the tail end of the word “California”. A nice gamer from the long-defunct California Golden Seals (remember the white skates?), in operation from 1967 to 1976, once owned by the legendary Charles O. Finley.
